I sit and talk to the kids about what I have done
So I look into their eyes and said it has been fun
There have been times when I have had bad health
And felt like someone just gave me a hard belt
I know that it’s not my place to ask why
But then an angel was sent to sit by my side
It’s important to cherish each day we have been given
And not to spend so much time worrying about heaven
God sent his seed to be born on this earth
And we can read how some rejected his birth
The bible was completed when Christ went to die
So it’s very important never ask why
Now as you head for home think about what I said
And take time to thank God before you go to bed
