The year has passed looking toward the new year
Thinking of what wasn’t accomplish brings a small tear
We look at our list of things we wanted to get done
Realizing that we never took the time just to have some fun
We ask ourselves if there is anything we have learned
Never to wonder about how much we could have earned
While listing to one of GOD’S angels about how his SON shared his love
And to remember the time he sent out a small dove
As his SON hung on the cross he asks to forgive them in a painful cry
As we read how a man took the time to stab him in his side
So as the New Year begins as we get a little older
The knowledge you have learned will make you a little bolder
But GOD reveals to us not to worry about the things we have done
And to take some time in prayer that soon he will send his SON
We are commanded to share HIS love to our enemies and friends
For only GOD knows when our life will come to the end
