The water was clean as it roars down the mountain side
As it was safe to drink it after taking a long horse ride
We stand on the top of the mountain and look at the beautiful land
Just to think that this is where the buffalo use to stand
We watch how men just wanted to change just to make a small grand
Instead of looking at the beauty made by GOD’S hand
In the valley it is hard to see the stars because of the street lights in the town
And we now see how the water has changed to a dirty brown
Each day we hear that our body needs to take a man-made pill
But the medicine man says you can still find help on top of the hill
Some men say that this is only a weed
But then they take it just for their own greed
The concrete covers the ground where the flowers use to grow
As the years have passed and I have become sold old
But still want to talk about the stories that needed to be told
For the change hasn’t always been that good for us
Because our spirit has turned to rust
We have been given a promise we will be able to walk on some new land
As God makes his decision to make a final stand
