As we sit and talk how the new year has begun
Just to think how our life has been so much fun
remember how we would lay in the snow
Or sit bye a fire and watch the flames make a orange glow
There was a time we took a blanket to lay down to rest
And listen to a teacher while sitting in our desk
We went out to look for a job one day
Now a week has gone by and waiting for our first pay
We would sit on a bench to feed the birds
When the young kids would point and say look at the nerds
Then a boy walked up and said hey there old man
And ask if we could give some advice on how to make a grand
So we sit and wonder if we have done anything wrong
Looking back in amaze how fast all the years have gone
The bible says someday he will come for us
