It’s been snowing for days and we can’t get out
And we can see our breath when we give out a shout
The electricity has gone out so we sit by the oil lamp
And put a sheet over the back of the chair pretending we are at champ
We sit and tells stories of things we have done
How we would play in the backyard and have so much fun
We see some lights on the road as a truck pushes the snow
When it hits the lamp pole the sky starts to glow
To stay warm we need to build up the fire so we grab another log
And get some fresh water for our new dog
It’s getting late and it’s time to get some rest so we start to pray
And ask GOD to help us make it to another day
