JUST A LITTLE WHITE LIE

Why does a person say one thing and mean another

As you would talk they want you to think like it’s not a bother

But when it’s time for them to work and don’t attempt do the job

Is when you will hear there biggest excuse with a sad wimpy sob

In the past when a person would give there word it use to be a fact

But now they will look you in the eye as they give you a slap on the back

We have taught our children that the bible teaches thou shall not lie

But as a adult they well say and do things just to get them bye

Let’s stop to think what would of happen to us if the promise was never kept

There would have been no one there to listen as his mother wept

The writings that his blood was given to forgive our sin

And the teaching of the fight over death would of never began

Or maybe the young man never feed the people on the hill

As there was no fish and he just wanted to pass out a pill

But it is important to know that one man didn’t know how to lie

As his heart was sadden when his only son had to die

Let’s remember what a lie might do in the end

When you give a promise to a worker or a good friend

It is for you to remember my father never once said a lie

And because of it I was the one that suffered and had to die

So if you think that just a little white lie won’t hurt

But it would make your word to be only as good as the dust from the dirt
