The teacher asks if we had the power what would we like to change
As I sit in my chair my mind is going out of range
The first thing I would want is for the world to stop and see
How nature has been changing for you don’t see many bees
The air has a funny smell from the pollution man has made
And at times it so thick it blocks the sun like a shade
You don’t see the blue color in the rivers running to the sea
And at times it hard just to stand and feel the warm summer breeze
If you stand and look at the street lights while it blocks out the stars
and now you hear men talk that it is time to buy an electric car
there men changing the laws to help the rich
as there are people starving while they’re working in the dirty ditch
we watch how so many people are coming to this land
for they know that there is hope for them to take a stand
so as my mind is wondering what could be done
maybe for the parents shut down the internet just to have some fun
and play with their kids in the park or just go for a run
maybe they could take the time to clean up the trash
for we see that their body has developed a bothering rash
as I stand up in front of the class and read my thoughts
that someday when I am older I know I won’t be bought
so I go and sit back in to my school room chair
I look at my teacher and she just gave me a dirty glare
But I know that there will the time I get to play in God’s land
And maybe be able to walk in the fields that look so grand
