The years have passed since we have heard the cry’s
How so many people stood as the tears filled their eyes
The charged bricks have been removed from the ground
But to some they can still hear that awful sound
We sit and talk about how one man can be sold bold
As this is one of the stories that never get old
We can remember how the burnt bricks began to fall
And hear from our president as he gave out that mighty call
Some will think that this is just a normal day
As they sit in the parks as their children start to play
Our flags will come out to show the world our pride
And on this day we will put aside our differences as we stand side by side
