We have a
true friend that will stand by our side
He will be
there to comfort us when we start to cry
But will ask
for help to open the door
And get
excited when he gets a treat from the store
Will sit at
our feet when we watch a show
Or sometime
let out a bark just to let us know
May sometime
chase a cat or two
And maybe
chew on our favorite shoe
But when he
passes it will make us sad
And make us
think of the love that we had
But now that
his life has come to an end
I have
learned the meaning of man’s best friend
