The world will sit and watch as the games go on
As they forget about the problems and their bickering is
gone
The athlete work so hard as it not so much fun
To dream about holding up the gold and be number one
They are proud to represent their country with so much pride
To see their flag hanging brings a tear to their eyes
We should be able to learn how to live from these games
To put aside the beliefs and see we are all the same
We share this earth and the beauty God has given us
But the blinds are put on and we act like we just got off
the bus
Their dreams of walking in and holding up their hands
To hear the cheers from family and friends in the grandstand
Some may not make the goal of being the best
But they have work so hard to finished the long quest
The question is how we can use this to build a better life
And learn that there is more to offer and change to help end
the fight
Hold your flag up with all of your pride
And share your love with the person next to your side
To become the athlete and work hard every day
So our children will have a safe place to play
