I go to my church on the lake every day
As I sit and listen to what God has to say
Friend while you watch the sun as it begins to rise
Think of the promise I gave and why are you so surprise
As you sit and read the testimonies of what I can do
One question is why do you think you can walk in my shoe
I look at the water across the lake as it reflect the light
Thinking about the bright stars as they glow in the night
There is a boat as it goes floating bye
Makes me think of the disciples as they thought they were going to die
He walk on the water to calm their fear
To show you that his spirit will always be near
There is the scream of a eagle as it flies by
To think of the time Gods son was taken to die
There is so much to learn as I sit on my pew
While I feel the falling of the morning dew
The movement of the trees helps me to be so bold
As the angels have watched over me as I have gotten old
There is no fancy lights or a building to see
But there is a warm heart waiting under the old tree

But the love of God is shown to me in many different way
