We have a strange and trouble world today
The children don’t want to go outside just to play
It takes both parents to make ends meet
As the children are needing shoes for their feet
To have mom stay at home and cook a large meal
And have the family together almost would be a great deal
We watch mom run for this or run to do that for the kids
And dad is out to the sight to make some more bids
Now this seams normal to us as each day goes on
But we haven’t the time just to have some fun
We don’t stop to see how the world is hurting
But want to spend our time on the computer flirting
We watch and hear how many jobs are being lost
And don’t stop to think of how this is a great cost
For strength of this country has been weakened
And our spirit looks like a weak beacon
So maybe it is time for us to stop and look
And sit down together to read the good Book
To watch the family learn how they begin to work together
And be able to last through these stormy weather
