I am off to serve the country that I love
It is hard for I have to be away from my sweet dove
The children don’t understand why I am leaving
As my dove will spend every day just grieving
It will be a big test for the both of us to be apart
But isn’t this how our freedom got it’s first start
When our fore father’s decided it was enough
Don’t you think they knew that it will be rough
Over the years their has been different types of wars
That might have put this country in a glass jar
Some people will say yes and there will others that say no
But my president said that it must be so off I go
In time we will learn if this is right or wrong
But for now I will do the best to make my country strong
So as I serve to protect this country for EACH one of you
