I sat and watched as the boat drifted by
It reminded me of the story that caught my eye
How one day God made it rain
Because of the suffering gave him such a great pain
At first it was so he would be able to talk and share
But the people got to the point they wanted to give him a dare
To think we were given the chance to learn about his glory
But the greed in us made it like a old time story
I know it was hard for God to make this request
To destroy his work was one of his first test
He gave a task for one man build a great boat
To keep his chosen ones dry and a float
They tell how the animals sat side by side
But have you ever thought if God want to cry
You never hear about the sadness in his heart
But he made the first rainbow that gave us a new start
So the day will come when the boat will be here
And when it’s our time to enter then we will learn how he really cared
