PASSING WISDOM

Remember how it use to be

When we were kids and played in the tree

We watch the lighting bugs as they flew at night

As they would make the stars look so bright

Laughter was heard through out the town

As the circus brought us the funny clown

We had no trouble for we were friends

Then we grew up and the trouble began

What has happened to our simple way of life

For what was wrong has now become so right

We were told that wisdom comes as we get old

So let’s not make it like another story to be told

Our wisdom is to be passed on so they will know

What to expect when they get old
